New York City in the 80’s was dirty, dangerous, derelict, but dazzling. The line between high and low culture, between fringe and mainstream was blurred. Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat were two sparks of the era. This is the book about how the two artists showed their point of views to the world.

The two artists, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, were the antagonists in the 80’s. They were not afraid of expressing their point of view such as black human right and AIDS. The form of the installation was came from the idea of protest which represents the spirit of resistance.
